Journalist (s)/Presenter(s)/producer(s)


At Voxafrica we are looking for young, dynamic and experienced journalists with charisma who can deliver exclusive stories, and bring fresh and creative ideas to daily news, culture, business, sport coverage and features. We’re looking for journalists who understand what an international and pan African audience want from their journalists and presenters and, therefore, can ensure we accurately reflect different news coverage and sports genre to a wide variety of audience.
You’ll be working on a shift basis across a range of programmes and may be reporting live.



Senior Producer(s)


The Senior Producer will play a central role in the management of Voxafrica staff and key projects. The post holder will support the development and launch of new programs and facilitate the work of multi-disciplinary teams, content, operations, policies, technical units to ensure high performance.
In addition, they will develop relationships with external operators to ensure our services appear on their platforms, providing an unparalleled opportunity to work with leading digital brands.
Be responsible for the planning, administration, and implementation of the channel’s schedule.



Legal, business affairs and HR executive


Voxafrica Television is looking for a legal and business affairs executive with experience in the television industry (including experience of drafting and negotiating a wide range of both financing and production contracts) and a sound knowledge of the relevant legal, regulatory and industry issues particularly in relation to UK terms of trade and other industry agreements.
Drafting, negotiating and providing support and advice to the Voxafrica team across a broad range of agreements including: programs financing agreements including UK and non-UK broadcaster commissioning agreements, co-production agreements (including under international film and TV co-pro treaties), distribution agreements etc. sales and licensing agreements (including archive and stills sales) publishing agreements, presenter and other talent agreements, music commissioning and publishing agreements, general production underlying paperwork (including location/access agreements, contributor agreements, international fixer agreements, crew contracts).
Providing legal and compliance advice on program content related matters/complaints and instructing external counsel where necessary.



Content and Acquisition


Reporting to the Head of Voxafrica Production Content and Acquisitions Manager, you will secure programming to meet the needs defined by Voxafrica Controller.
This will involve development and approval of pre-bought and commissioned programs for Voxafrica, with sign off at all editorial stages of production.
You will also identify appropriate third party programming, recommending and leading the negotiation to secure the rights.
With excellent negotiation skills and commercial awareness, you’ll have significant experience in an acquisition position as a buyer along with a strong understanding of international distribution and a well developed network of relationships with distributors.
Working closely with Voxafrica’s commercial department to investigate opportunities to maximize revenues from commercial exploitation across all media.
An enthusiasm for good programming, Africa, and black entertainment programs is essential.



Post-Production Editor

Duration: Fixed Term

Edit programs; create interstitial, marketing, and motion graphics pieces on PC. Utilize alternative equipment and configurations to create special effects. Actively support, research, and troubleshoot problem areas within Post-Production.
Vivid imagination, excellent communication skills and ability to multitask a must.
