The Kalou Foundation's dinner gala, which took place at the hotel Pullman, in Abidjan, on friday 9th july, was a success. More than 200 people, included some team mates of Salomon Kalou, came to show their support to the Foundation. Constance, Bonaventure and Salomon Kalou, got more than 40 millions of francs CFA. A very positive step to fight against the kidney diseases in Ivory Coast.

After 4 hours of drive from Abidjan (350km), we are in Bouaké. Bouaké is the second largest city in Côte d'Ivoire, with a population of 700 000 people. Manchester City F.C. defender Kolo Touré and his brother and midfielder Yaya Touré were born in Bouaké. So, this is the city where the Kalou Foundation is planning to build a dialysis center.

How can we tackle the avalanche of chronic kidney disease in Sub-Saharan Africa? By speaking about the challenges to make people aware, and helping people who are suffering from the disease. In Ivory Coast, as you can see on this blog, the Kalou Foundation is fighting to improve the lives of the patients. Here a message from Constance and Bonaventure Kalou.
