The Fashion 4 Africa showcase
London is one of THE fashion capitals in the world, with loads of designers,
models and people working in the fashion industry. Africans with a passion
for fashion have influenced mainstream western fashion. They've made a clear
statement. We are here to stay!
On the 1st of May, Fashion 4 Africa
showcases in fashionable London. A brand new event set to raise consumer
awareness about African fashion from all 53 countries in Africa. What has
this event to offer? African culture, music, arts and African fashion, of
course!
There will be a fashion competition, live music from Senegalese,
Gambian and Congo Musicians co-ordinated by Eric Soul of Afro Groove, and
comedy.
This event is an opportunity for all unestablished or unknown
fashion designers. The winner will be awarded a place at the Fashion
Retail Academy where Sir Philip Green of Topshop is patron, alongside
other high street brands such as Next, Tescos, Marks and Spencer and
London College of Fashion.
Furthermore, this event offers already
established fashion designers the chance to have a platform that will give
them international exposure with a once-in-a-lifetime, all expenses paid trip
to a West African country.
Fashion 4 Africa demonstrates the natural
warmth and welcoming nature of African communities. A fashion show you must
see!
