Congo Brazaville re-elects Denis Sassou Nguesso
In the Republic of the Congo, President Denis Sassou Nguesso has won re-election.
In the elections held last Sunday, he received almost 79 percent of the votes, and with them a new seven-year term in office.
However, the victory is being disputed.
Human rights organisations have spoken of fraud and irregularities.
Observers from the African Union and the Economic Community of Central African States say the poll was transparent, free and fair.
