Mogadishu's Mayor warns residents to flee battle town. Officials say they expect the offensive against Islamist insurgents will intensify in the coming weeks. One hundred thousand people had been forced to flee this year since the start of the fighting.

Colombian named world’s shortest manA 24-year-old Colombian man has officially became the world's shortest man. Edward Nino Hernandez has been certified as the world's shortest living mobile male by Guinness World Records, measuring just 27.46 inches. The previous titleholder was He Pingping of China, who was an inch or so taller and died in March.
