Myanmar's military rulers bar Suu Kyi from elections

Myanmar's National League for Democracy party on Wednesday criticised a new election law that bars pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi from running in upcoming elections and may force her own political party to expel her.

Colombian named world’s shortest man

A 24-year-old Colombian man has officially became the world's shortest man. Edward Nino Hernandez has been certified as the world's shortest living mobile male by Guinness World Records, measuring just 27.46 inches. The previous titleholder was He Pingping of China, who was an inch or so taller and died in March.
